Lead Dance Teacher
- Sutherland, Sydney
Groove Nation is a successful primary school dance provider to NSW Primary Schools and we are looking for an extremely experienced Lead Dance Teacher to join our amazing team and grow with our company in 2025 and beyond.
This role requires you to be available between 8am – 2:30pm, Monday – Thursday.
This is perfect for you if you are looking for a career in the world of dance education and to step into a lead role to mentor and support our team of dance teachers.
You’ll spend at least 3 months learning and teaching alongside our Creative Director and understanding all things groove before stepping out to lead our team, providing feedback and support on-site at various primary schools.
We have an amazing, paid, training program to get you up to speed fast so you’ll be confident and be ready to hit the ground running. We also fully support you during your training and throughout your employment. ✅ You’re an experienced and passionate dance teacher with at least 5 years experience across a variety of styles (ballet/jazz/hip hop/contemp/lyrical/musical theatre etc).

✅ Your super organised, a great communicator and happy to follow processes
✅ You have an eye for detail when it comes to choreography and routines and a proven history of clean, appropriate and impressive choreography

Dance Teacher (Full-Time)

Dance Teacher (Dance Group Specialist)

Groove Nation is a successful primary school dance provider to NSW Primary Schools, and we are looking for an experienced dance teacher to join our amazing team as a Primary School Dance Group Specialist Teacher in 2025.
This is a casual role that requires you to be available between 8am – 2pm Monday – Friday.
This is perfect for you if you are looking for a career and you’d like to build out your weekly class schedule and have regular committed classes and students in primary schools around Sydney.

Dance Teacher (Casual)
- Sutherland, Sydney
Our operations have grown exponentially and we have a need for a talented casual Primary School Dance Teacher to join our team.
As a key member of the close-knit team, you will be providing our range of primary school dance programs across schools in the Sutherland Shire, St George, Inner West and Western Sydney areas.
Your love of teaching and ability to engage students with your energetic personality will see opportunities to career development.

This casual position involves travelling between various primary schools Monday – Friday between 8am – 3pm.
- Teaching a variety of Groove Nation Primary School Dance Programs
- Project Management across all dance programs
- Liaising with and supporting schools
- Have at least 10 years dance training across a variety of styles
- Have 3+ years experience teaching dance to primary school aged students (either in primary schools or at a dance studio)
- Are strong in the styles of jazz, musical theatre, contemporary and lyrical
- Can think ‘outside the box’ to develop storylines/concepts for dances with a range of abilities that are appropriate and impactful for primary school students
- Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Have an excellent ability and the confidence to build rapport and interact with clients and staff
- Take pride in being organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities
- Have a keen eye for detail, with a high level of accuracy in your work
- Are self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic with strong time management skills
- Can problem-solve and think on your feet
- Have your own car, with a full license and can run errands
