Available Positions

Lead Teacher and Creative Assistant

Our operations have grown exponentially and we have a need for a talented Dance Teacher & Creative Assistant to join our team.

As a key member of the close-knit team, you will be supporting our team of Dance Teachers to continue to elevate the quality of our dance programs.

Alongside being an amazing dance teacher, your ability to mentor a team and think creatively will ensure Groove Nation constantly evolves in all areas of choreography, music, concepts and pedagogy.

This position is a permanent part-time role that involves travelling between various primary schools with 32 hours per week, from Monday to Thursday from 8am – 4pm.

  • Teaching a variety of Groove Nation Primary School Dance Programs
  • Project Management across all dance programs
  • General HR including scheduling team meetings, liasing with Groove Nation staff and providing training support
  • Supervision of Groove Nation Teachers on the ground to provide support and ensure the quality of our programs
  • Liaising with and supporting schools
  • General administration including data entry, scheduling, and handling inbox management and queries from internal and external parties
  • Work to create routines for the Groove Nation Team using strong concepts and storylines across all programs
  • Have at least 10 years dance training across a variety of styles
  • Have 3+ years experience teaching dance to primary school aged students (either in primary schools or at a dance studio)
  • Are strong in the styles of jazz, musical theatre, contemporary and lyrical
  • Can think ‘outside the box’ to develop storylines/concepts for dances with a range of abilities that are appropriate and impactful for primary school students
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Have an excellent ability and the confidence to build rapport and interact with clients and staff
  • Take pride in being organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Have a keen eye for detail, with a high level of accuracy in your work
  • Are self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic with strong time management skills
  • Can problem-solve and think on your feet
  • Have your own car, with a full license and can run errands

Operations Administrator/Personal Assistant (PA)

Our operations have grown exponentially since our beginning in 2011 and we have a need for a talented Operations Administrator/Personal Assistant to join our team and support our CEO – Amy.

As a key member of the close-knit team, you will be supporting Amy with administration, team organisation and accounts, to help maintain the flow of operations.

Your ability to manage a range of business activities will free up Amy’s time and directly help grow the business.

This is a hybrid, Work from Home (WFH) position with 30 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.

    • Accounts Payable/Receivable
    • Purchasing and liaising with suppliers
    • Managing school onboarding and Vacation Care
    • Creation and management of documents – operational and compliance
    • Rostering and allocating staff
    • Liaising with and supporting schools
    • Payment management and communication with parents for extracurricular dance groups
    • Costuming support for extracurricular dance groups
    • General administration including data entry, scheduling, and handling inbox management and queries from internal and external parties
    • General HR including posting ads, screening applications, booking interviews, onboarding for staff
    • Personal Assistant duties including proactively looking for ways to support Amy
    • Admin support for the Annual ‘Combined Schools Concerts’ events (sister company)
    • Content planning and creation for Social Media
  • Have 7+ years of experience working in Admin or Business support
  • Are experienced with Accounts and Xero (or similar accounting software)
  • Are a whiz with technology, have used a range of software platforms and can pick up systems easily (e.g., JotForm, MailChimp, Asana and Dubsado).
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Have an excellent ability and the confidence to build rapport and interact with clients and suppliers
  • Take pride in being organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Have a keen eye for detail, with a high level of accuracy in your work
  • Are self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic with strong time management skills
  • Can problem-solve and enjoy streamlining processes
  • Have experience using Canva, enjoy writing and have a creative flair
  • Have knowledge of HR/Recruitment process, or the ability to learn
  • Have experience liaising/working heavily with schools (teacher, P&C, involved parent etc.)
  • Have your own car, with a full license and can run errands

Casual Dance Teacher

Our operations have grown exponentially and we have a need for a talented casual Primary School Dance Teacher to join our team.

As a key member of the close-knit team, you will be providing our range of primary school dance programs across schools in the Sutherland Shire, St George, Inner West and Western Sydney areas.
